Sold off the fast short course truck.Keep bouncing back and forth between crawlers and the go fast stuff.Picked up a new SCX10 DeadBolt chassis, suspension, drivetrain to start with.Went with a Proline 72 Chevy body again also. Its a start.

I added the Axial beadlocks,Axial aluminum shocks and the Hitec 645mg steering servo from the previous crawlers I had.
Going to do the aluminum steering and 4 link setup obviously.Have a new hackmoto 35t motor, need to get an ESC yet.
More to come.

Kinda bummed the pics of my previous builds are gone.Oh well.Thinking of painting this body up in an orange/white scheme.Figured I would try a set of the Duratrax Deep Woods tires. What the heck they are cheap enough.
No real plans for this truck.Just like building, modding and tinkering with r/c trucks.

Trying to figure this Tapatalk out.Figured I would post pics where I'm at with it.No real plans for it.Just want a good looking, reliable trail/yard truck I can play around with when I have a little free time.
This is the fourth SCX10 I've built.Sold off the others unfortunately.Just like to have one around to tinker with.
These are great trucks for the builder, modder ,tinkerer!!!

Been outta the crawler scene for two years.Seems like the scx10 traffic is non existent anymore. Are us first gen scx10 owners the red headed stepchildren?

Thanks Teng. That was my first G6 kit. That color is Tamiya camel yellow.
That jeep turned into the red and white 66 Ford.
The red G6 turned into the copper/silver Dodge Ram pic toward top of page.

This orange G6 I built for a friend ultimately turned into the blue/white 72' Chevy.

Very clean builds with very nicely done bodies... I like the small detail touches like the side exhaust ports you're using from Axial and the panel separator lines.

Hey, I remember this thread! Good to see your recent build. Yeah, the SCX10 II has steadily been overtaking the SCX10. I have one new SCX10 II Jeep Cherokee RTR pre-roller chassis, yet to be built up, and three older SCX10's, and am now thinking of selling those off, so I can focus on the new SCX10 II. My wife & I brought our third child into the world, just a few months ago, so my hobby time is now severely limited, and I might as well get realistic about what RC's are worth keeping. I might hold onto to at least one SCX10, because my 5 yr old daughter seems to be taking an interest in RC's, and a basic rig like that would be easier for me to maintain for her.

Congrats on the newborn johnnyluv.Sounds like you have a full house.Nothing wrong with that.
Enjoy them while they are with you. From what I hear the grow up so fast.Unfortunately the wife and I never had children.
We tried it just never happened.Trying was the fun part! LOL

Talking about lack of hobby funds. This is what most of my extra play money has been going to.Bought this 65 mustang coupe last summer.Had a junk 289 engine in it.Ended up putting a Blueprint Engines 302 crate motor in it.Along with an aluminum radiator, clutch, flywheel and a few other minor tidbits.
Now it's a fun little car for the wife and I to jump in and cruise around.
