This is a clean ride. Good for you for treating yourself to a toy like that. That’s the reason I’m getting out of this hobby. I’m currently assembling a 63 SS Nova.

Enjoy it

Thanks z71.It is a very clean car.I was lucky to find it.The 302 engine we put in it was the cherry on top.
I've got a few more minor things I want to do to it.But for now it's a reliable little beauty to cruise and go to the car shows with.I have a buddy that's got a 65 Nova he's been working on.Would love to see your 63.
Feel free to post some pics!

Finally had some free time this morning to get the truck out.Did a little snow crawling on the piles from shoveling the driveway.
Really like the smoothness of the 1080 ESC.The duratrax deepwoods tires did very well on the hard pack snow piles.

A week ago I was crawling on the piles from a 15" dumping of snow. This weekend it's all melted and some green poking up through the mulch.Got my sled out twice for a total of about 25 miles this winter.I think it's time to sell of the sled and trailer.
Could use that money towards a steering upgrade on the Mustang. The Ram looks good out in the sun.
Bring on a warm Spring!

That is a sweet ride! Only problem with it looking so good now and almost complete is you get to drive it now lol. Meaning you need to find another and build it.

Thanks!
Wish I had the space to build one.One runs out of garage space quickly with two daily drivers, the Mustang, snowmobile, riding lawnmower and so on.
When we built our garage we figured that was plenty big enough.Wrong.

Nothing much.Just a set of strc aluminum knuckle carries.
I'm ready for warm weather so I can get this truck out and run it!

Just ordered a set of GDS shocks on eBay.I have tried everything with these Icon shocks and they will not hold oil.
Green slime,Traxxas xrings,grease-they simply will not hold oil. They held oil for awhile with the xrings but two are leaking pretty bad now. These were off my first G6 kit that got replaced with Proline scalers. The GDS shocks look identical to the Proline scalers for half the price.

Here's a pic of the GDS shocks I ordered.Ive seen them on eBay for sometime now.Couldnt find any reviews or opinions on them.
For $56 bucks they are worth a try.

That looks great! I will use it as inspiration for my own unfinished Dodge. Really nice paint scheme. I like the aluminium in the back.

The new GDS shocks showed up today. They are a little beefier than I thought they would be.Just a tad longer then the Icons.
The lower springs seem a bit stiff.
Went with 30wt to start with.

They look quite wide, would you mind measuring them as I was interested in these for myself?
Cheers

The shocks appear to be close to 3/4" wide.I guess they don't look bad mounted on the truck. They feel pretty smooth compressing them in your hand.I'll run it tomorrow and see how they perform around the yard.

Ok,the GDS shocks didn't work out as I had hoped. The springs were just too firm.Couldn't find any softer springs that fit that diameter.Picked up a set of the Traxxas trx4 shocks.I added the supplied oil and put on a set of the single rate springs provided with the Proline 90-95mm scaler shocks.Like how smooth they feel in hand. Will get them mounted tonight for a little romp through the snow tomorrow.
