New G6 build

Hey all- just recently picked up a new Axial G6 Jeep. This is my third Axial kit build.Started out with the AX-10 Scorpion then built a Wraith now the G6 Jeep.Finished building the chassis in two days.Ill do the body this weekend.
I've got a Hitec 645 mg steering servo for steering duties.
For a motor I've got an Integy 45t crawler motor and for an ESC I chose a Novak Eiger.Still waiting for that to come in the mail.I will be running 2s & 3s batt packs.Heres a few pics of the progress so far.More pics to come when electronics and body are completed.

Here's a pic of the Wraith I built.Sold it off on eBay a while back.Probably won't go as wild with the G6 as I did with the Wraith.

Went ahead and painted the body. Its Tamiya Camel Yellow.Ill finish up the roll cage later. The gold wheel nuts compliment the body color nicely.Cant wait for the ESC to come in to give her a shake down run.

I suspect there are a lot of us around Chicago. It'd be fun to arrange something like a trail run one day.

You chose a really great color! I haven't had my SCX-10 for long, but I'd recommend the Pro-Line Pro Pulls for the rear body clips. Makes getting the clips out and in so much easier once the cage goes on, and they're really high quality.

Added a driver figure to the G6.He is actually a pilot figure that survived a horrific crash from one of my r/c planes. He is painted to somewhat resemble me.I think he fits pretty good.Got my radio programmed-just waiting for the esc to arrive.

I think you managed to snag the last original color to paint a G6 (although sh!t brown may still be available :lmao:). I have seen lots of orange Jeeps and a few yellow ones but your color looks like its right in between the two. Looks good. "thumbsup"

I ordered one of these today - it's supposed to be for my wife. If she doesn't like it then I'll have two crawlers.

Re: New G6 build

Got tired of waiting for my package from Tower Hobbies.Dont know what the deal there is.Since I live in Illinois I usually get my packages pretty quickly. Not the case with this order.Anyway I went to my LHS and picked up a Tekin FXR speedo. Also picked up a Proline 07 Chevy truck body.I added some led's to the front bumper I had laying around.
Don't really know what color I will paint the Chevy body.Ive got a few cans to choose from.Very cold & rainy outside today so I've been running it around the house chasing the cat a little bit.Stay tuned!!!
