Depends on the brand, stainless grade/alloy and quality of the screw. I've had some that seemed nearly as soft as aluminum, others that were as strong as the steel screws they replaced. Like steel screws, anything can be made cheap. I've had great results with stainless 18-8 and 316 purchased through McMaster-Carr and Fastenal, lousy results with screws purchased though e-Bay and on-line discount hardware stores.

Absolutely not. I've even used RCScrewz brand stainless on my 5th scale sc truck with no issues at all. However, it's critical that you use high quality tools. A cheap driver will strip any screw head...ask me how I know lol.

If I ask you how you know will the reply be a pic of some nasty stripped screw that required hacksaws and fire?

Update -

I have spent 4 hours last night moving the battery sideways behind the front shocks and soldering the deans connectors to the battery and esc. I actually got to turn it on and run it in the house.
