Default Boom racing products/ asiatees.com products

I bought some parts from asiatees.com and wondering how their products are. I've been searching for reviews and haven't been able to find any. So what's everyones opinion on them?

That's a loaded question.

If you have already purchased them you aren't going to like most of the answers, just a heads up.

Agree with Crank, asking after the purchase is a little disappointing with a lot of the budget priced Asian manufactures. If the quality and/or machine work is below standard, at least you'll know what to expect when they arrive.

I'm no expert but I am on a very limited budget. Most of my aluminum parts are Chinese made from eBay, mostly 3racing ad the like. I've had no problem with them over the years. Never heard of the brand you have. Good luck with it. I highly recommend 3racings knuckles, c hubs, and lock outs. Can't beat them for the price.

Get what you pay for. I say that without knowing anything about that company or their business

I bought Boom racing several months ago for a car with no other options available.

Absolute garbage quality. While they likely won't break like a stock part, the tolerances are terrible and cause all kinds of slop. If I'm upgrading a part I expect every single aspect of the design to be an upgrade, not just a slightly better material.

Boom racing, 3Racing, Integy, Kappa, Top Cad, etc... All the same garbage.

The setup I bought, after it was completely installed I had probably 5° more slop in the wheels than I did with the plastic, which had at least 5° slop itself. That was a complete knuckle, inner C and steering linkage install.

I'm not doubting that you have installed them and found no slop, but the inconsistency in their manufacturing along with the crap parts I had were enough to make me stick with the parts I know.

That's kinda funny, because the front Vanquish knuckles I installed wore out so quickly that I ended up using nylon inserts in place of the bronze bushing due to all the slop it created.

First time for everything I guess.
What actually wore out?
I've used them all and VP is by far and away in a class of it's own when you compare them to the China stuff or others for that matter.

I have currently installed a set of SSD Yeti knuckles quality is top notch, but haven't abused them enough yet to talk about durability.

The hole where the bushings fit all wore out badly. One is even elongated a bit. I am still running them using a nylon bushing hacked to fit. Actually is working quite well.
I'm new to R/C trucks, been flying R/C for years, so I am just speaking from my short experience. I have been very rough on my truck thus far and am overall happy with most all of the aftermarket shyte I've put on her.
