How much wider do you want to go? There options from a few MM wider using thicker hexes to several inches wider using Wraith axles.

Junfac makes some ridiculously large ones, VP has some as well. VP Vanquish Products - Search Results for "hex" Google Search Last edited by Dad,Canyoufix?; 01-14-2015 at 01:17 PM. |

yup, 12mm is the hex size most popular in 1.55, 1.9 and 2.2 wheels

I got the junfac ones. Still had to trim my Honcho body to clear 2.2 tires. But they definitely made it more stable. |

Will these work? Junfac Wheel Widener (Offset: +13mm) Also how exactly do they work. The screw fits thru the spacer all the way to screw into the threads of the axle? It says that there might be some drilling involved, would I need to drill if I have axial 2.2 wheels? I believe I have the rocksters |

The extension piece slides over the pin that holds your rim.. The bolt screws into the axle through your rim. I had to drill out my Raceline rims to get the bolt to fit. Not a big deal really. Definitely cheaper and easier than swapping to Wraith axles. |

Definatley cheaper and easier than going to wraith axles. Debating if I should get the 13mm or 19mm offset ones? Which should I get? Which is closer to wraith width |

Just a note on wheel wideners I've always heard, they WILL add extra strain on your axles, driveline, and electronics FYI

I wouldn't go no more than 13mm, like stated above, it will put more strain on your bearings an knuckles, if wider is what you want, wraith axles are it, or offset wheel hubs, widners are just the cheap way to do it, not the best way imo.

The 19's are closer to Wraith width. As mentioned you put more rotational weight further out, which can lead to stress on knuckles and axles. I upgraded to aluminium knuckles when I did mine just to be safe. My stock servo stripped its gears after about 6 2s battery packs when I switched to the bigger tires. |

| Re: Wheel Wideners Yup and yup. Keep an eye on your knuckles and C hubs, if you run the stock set, the bushings may wear out quickly when abused. Bearings will wear out as well, especially in aluminum knuckles c hubs and lockouts.

Go big if that's what you really want. I wish I would have gotten the bigger ones. Are you gonna wear out easily replaceable parts? Yes Are you gonna achieve the desired width and stability? Yes Buy the spacers and start collecting parts to do an axle swap. |

I wheel all over town. All the spillways for the local lakes have good rocks Also the bike path down in Gilroy has some nice rocks down by the creek. What part of San Jose do you live in? I always wanted to hit up those rocks at Santa Teresa Park. |
