Here we go guys, the full version of the preview video I posted.
The Hero Session onboard my SCX10.
I am currently working on a bit of a how-to video, not only showing these mounts and how I did it, but also trying to fabricate a new one which I think will work well.
Subscribe to the channel to see that and while you're there, hit the like button, I could do with gaining a few more subscribers to at least hit 250 by the end of the year
Hope you enjoy!

After I posted a small teaser clip of a full video I had coming out (the last one I posted) I got a surprisingly positive response and people wanted to see how I got the camera mounted at the angles I did and also so securely.
So here is the video explaining/showing etc...
This isn't the first time it's been done, I know, but people wanted to see it all the same
Please subscribe for more!

Decided it was time to treat the SCX10 to some goodies, ultimately I had over $400 in my cart, but I wasn't spending that amount,*so she has to do without some bits for now!
Got her a Vanquish stage one kit though, some fresh bearings and some CI foams.
Foams are all done and the stage one kit is on the way, also got myself some more axle stands because I really regret selling a lot of my scale items, especially since I want to make a little scale garage at some point, so I will slowly build everything back up as I go along.

Fitted the Vanquish stage 1 kit on the SCX10, discovered I need yet more parts for it all to work, stupid Vanquish!
Last time I buy Vanquish stuff.

After making my own link for the front, I discovered I then need some SLW hubs because the tyres foul the knuckles, despite the fact I already have quite wide hubs anyway, plus I've had to buy Vanquish hexes because the normal hexes are very loose fitting on Vanquish stuff due to the extra recess.
But I've come this far with the rebuild, so I'm just awaiting all the right parts for it now.

Then cracked on with fitting the SSD CMS, after so long of wanting it!

I will update again when my next two orders come, this thing better crawl on my ceiling for how much I've spent on it LOL!

Huge pain in the butt, but at least all that aluminum is shiny I guess. Can't wait to see how it does when it's complete!

Everything is now ordered, including new chassis rails, SLW hubs, hardware etc... I have spent more on this than a new SCX10 II lol, seems a bit o a waste but hopefully it will be good when finished!
I also got the lights in, wasn't sure if to run any or not but decided I would do because my brother-in-law who has a Gmade Komodo got his light bar in and we might have some nice evening runs sometime, he's also interested in doing some scale winching, so that might make for some interesting pictures and footage!

I didn't think I'd miss the smell of Humbrol Liquid Poly... Apparently I did.
Some progress on the wheel wells v2.

Some added strength for the outside and inside.
My old ones broke, these V2 should be better!

Thanks man, glad to inspire you with my humble efforts

Finished up the inner arches on the SCX10, so the electrics up front are now pretty much hidden... I then started on it's battery tray and got that finished up as well, waiting for more parts before I can take it for a run.

Got the rear fenders done as well, had to miss off the top piece because it fouls the body and also the shocks, bit of an awkward shape, but I can live with it I suppose.
had to stop halfway through to play cat basket to Jeff though!
Glad to see him back to his old ways at least.

Gave the SCX10 a very much needed run.
My hands were red, my nose was running, the wind was blowing and I almost went ar53 over elbow, but still enjoyed myself.
Could anyone recommend a longer winch cable?
This one pulls out quite far, but not far enough for certain situations.

Rebuilt my shocks this evening.

A true test of how good your shocks are IMO, is how clean the liquid is come rebuild time.

These shocks simply don't leak and don't let crud in, all four shocks had really clean liquid in, compared to say the Yetis shocks, which all were very dirty and gritty and had leaked most of the liquid out.

Put 10wt in them now all round and running less preload, going to try out the softest settings I've ever used and see how things go.

I have also finally ordered a new body, but it's on backorder, I've been told by the shop it should be here within a week, so hopefully by Friday would be nice.

Not sure if I'm going to paint it myself, or I might send it off to someone to paint really nice, it won't be a basher body, since it's took me about 9 months to finally buy a replacement, but it will get gently used
