Default Stock scx10 radio and controlling a winch

Hi all,
I have a stock radio in my SCX 10 Deadbolt. Is there a way to control a 3Racing winch with it? I have ordered a wireless controller, but wanted to know for the future.

Thanks,
Scott

My new deadbolt I got last week came with a Tactic 3-channel radio stock in the box. I've not seen that before. The older ones came with an Axial 2-channel transmitter. Which kind do you have, the new Tactic or the older Axial 2 channel? You can't use the 2 channel for a winch. It takes both channels for throttle and steering.

Has anybody successfully programmed there ttx300 3rd ch for a winch, and if so I would appreciate if you could explain what you did. I have bashed my head against the desk for three hours now trying to figure it out. I've read and done what the manual says many times now and unless I go to default settings the tx will not to anything for the winch. By the way the winch is a 3racing winch. Thank you for any info.

I'm in the same boat, I bought the Power Wagon and it came with the Tactic. The little to no help instruction manual for the transmitter online is a joke. I actually ended up just buying a yeahracing wireless controller then velcroing the remote to the controller to my transmitter so it's like another channel

I don't know if anybody has had the same trouble with the ttx300 but hobbico got back with me and I got it working off the controller here is how to set it up.

I found it is even easier than I thought it was, so this e-mail may work*
instead. It is NOT as difficult as this step by step format makes it look. Once*
you do this you will find it is simple and you wont need this list anymore.*
1. Bind the TX/Rx. Turn the TX off and turn the RX on. Any time you RX is on*
without a TX on you should unplug your motor or*
take the pinion off just to be safe.*
2. Press and hold the top ch3 button and turn on the TX like the manual says.*
3. Wait for it to flash 4 time fast (the manual says five but the two samples I*
have flash 4) let go of the button.*
4. Now push and HOLD the top or bottom button. You should see the servo start*
to move one way or the other depending on*
were its starting position is.*
5. When the servo gets to the position you want it to be in let of the button*
and turn the wheel to the right. The power LED will flash*
to let you know that position has been set.*
6. Now press and hold the top or bottom button so the servo starts to rotate*
again, when it reaches the next point you want turn the*
wheel to the right.*
7. Do this again for the 3 and if you need it 4th position.*
8. If this works like it should just turn of the tx once you have got the LED*
flash for the last position you wanted.*

If this does not work there is something wrong. I found two RX and two TX*
samples and this did the trick on any combination I found.*
Let me know. Since I do not work in product support I am not at my desk with*
any regular schedual but I only work till 5:00 so phone contact is gonna be*
tough, but I think this should get you going so we should not need to worry*
about that.*

Wayne*

I've got my tactic controlling a 3racing winch it works fine except when I first power on the truck it spools in and I have to hurry and stop it with the remote.
