Interesting, but I hope that the RPM nylon isn't as flexible as the stock hoops...

RPM nylon's flexibility is kinda their main selling point for go-fasts; it keeps things from snapping.

I am kind of interested in those. My stockers are a little soft and given to flex at times. I was just going to brace them but this is a interesting solution.

Just digging this up to second the Knuckles and Hubs necessity. I would love to seem some low cost, high durability knuckles and hubs. It's a no brainer for RPM to get into the SCX-10 market.

And to mention this
Rock Sliders for the Axial SCX10 | RPM R/C Products

I will be ordering a set ASAP, I am very loyal to RPM and their quality, craftsmanship and warranty.

I love RPM goods, but I'm not a big fan of sliders on my trucks. First mod to my Ascender after running it was to take off the sliders.

I like the look of those sliders. I will be ordering them for my wife's rig as soon as they are available.

need a scuff plate that attaches to the lower center chunk
of each axle... Molded and form fitting.
No not those bulky alloy skid plate designs that hang up on everything.

Is something RPM could easily produce.
And if tight/form fitting... would sell well I believe.

I'm annoyed with having to replace the axle housing(s)
after they've been ground thru from sliding over rocks.
Happens when you roll 1.9's and attempt to keep up with others rolling 2.2's

I'd prefer one made of SS or even mild steel
but nylon would last a little longer then nothing.

Come on RPM, get in the game! This stuff would sell, no question. I am bewildered it's not out yet. In order of what I think would fly off the shelves..

1. AXLE HOUSINGS!
2. Knuckles and Hubs
3. Rear Lockouts
4. Skid plate
5. Transmission case

Bumper mounts and bumper, there's a whole other division in itself. Imagine a $13.95 RPM front bumper that looked like a 1:1? I bet they wouldn't even be able to keep stock.

I'd like to see them make a full axle housing. Their sliders look good, but I don't like how they stick out in the back. So I'll be sticking to my stock ones bent up for now.

I would be very glad to buy axle housing c hubs and the like from them and I would like to see the bumper my 4 yr old kills the axial one in about a month. I've raced and bashed with rpm parts for years. I wonder why they have avoided the crawler market for so long. On another forum I use lots of people started emailing them to produce ecx parts and within a year they did. Maybe we should email them and let them know what parts we would be interested in buying

I'm not a fan of plastic sliders...
but love my slider's trailing end kick outs both 1:10 and 1:1

helps to pivot the rear tires around a rock/boulder...
I've used this technique many times on both my 1:1 and 1:10.

Also reduces the likelihood of carnage to the 1:1 sheet metal or 1:10 poly panels.

1:10

1:1

I'm thinking of colors possibility
How about axle housing in marble form into the plastic to resemble rust like Carmel, tan, and brown instead of black....JM2C.......
Maybe RPM can redesign the scx10 axle housing to resemble a real 1:1 axle.

If rpm could simply replicate the scx housing and then find a way to add a diff cover, they would never have any in stock.

Color: black or slate gray. Brown wouldn't be terrible, silver would be too much. They would also HAVE to make the blue edition, it's just required.

I'm not spending that much for a different axle housing...
nothing wrong with the factory axle housing(s) and innards.
I don't need a removable housing cover. (no advantage that I see)
nor would that protect the axle's center chunk anyways.

just a scuff cover that saves the center chunk from abrasion...
the center chunk's walls are really thin at the center...
and I'm getting tired of my diff gears peeking out and open to the dirt.
The remainder of the scx-10 axle handles the abuses fine.
Even better/stronger if assembled using beef tubes.

I'd prefer a scuff plate made of steel...
would slide best and be very durable to abrasions.
but a nylon - delrin scuff cover would be alright...
As long as it cost less then the factory replacement plastic axle housing.

It should mount so as to utilize the two lower holes (+existing bolts)
going thru the differential's center chunk.
180* wrap around protection at the lower half.
IMO... It only needs cover the center line of the center chunk.
But it need conform tightly without wasted air space.

I know what I would like to see or make...
just not sure how to go about doing that.

guess I'll need get busy with my welder...
and make an attempt with designing my own.

The Vanquish Rockjock axles have a center line scuff plate...
thinks it's made of delrin.
But is in no way adaptable to the scx-10 axle(s).

Come on RPM...
it's not rocket science.
