| Vanquish Locker install - no holes drilled
So I got some vanquish goodies for my SCX10 but I didn't want to mod the plastic housing to install the VP lockers. I wanted to use the set screws still to secure the axle shafts so I came up with a method to do so (it's a bit of a PITA but it works) I'm sure others have done it but I never saw anything about it so here it goes: The goods: [IMG][/IMG] Install the parts and assemble the axle but leave the pinion out: [IMG][/IMG] Access the set screws through the pinion opening and tighten (be sure to do this at full steering lock) - use your blue locktite [IMG][/IMG] [IMG][/IMG] Dissasemble the VVD to allow the axle to come apart so you can put the pinion in and re-assemble: Grease it up and reassemble and your good to go - no drilled holes required in the housing - just adds a few more steps and 10 minutes to the build up [IMG][/IMG] |
