Default Axial aluminum steering upgrade problem

Anyone upgrade to the aluminum steering package have issues with the chassis come down and hit the horn attachment? I upgraded to a Hitech servo. When the steering linkage to the horn is attached; the chassis came down and hit the horn attach. So i attached the linkage behind the horn, so there's the screw head, then horn, linkage then nut. The chassis now clears the horn attachment but the linkage is now at quite an angle but it functions.

Second, the frame comes down and hits the servo linkage and forgot if that was normal.

Thanks

some remove the cross brace that I believe is hitting your linkage, I replaced my brace with a 6mm x 70mm link because I didn't need much clearance. an Ofna servo horn may help, #10774 for 24t Hitec or #10776 25t for Futaba/Hitec. they're a low profile design that will bring your servo horn and linkage closer to the top of the servo, to the rear of the vehicle on the SCX10 or Wraith with axle mounted servos

depending on how much up-travel you have the linkage can contact the frame at full compression, if the travel limiters on the stock shocks are removed or if you upgraded shocks then it's probably normal

It's fine. Unless your jumping the truck you won't compress the suspension enough to hit the cross member.
