here is the hook I am thinking of using.........

got this hook about 5 years ago....
Scale, not really sure of that... Kinda small and it doesn't hook on anything because the opening is a bit small.....
But it is super sweet....
I got it from 500swmag (I think , a member here )

Ok got the hook thing figured out....
The red hook that comes on the Yeah racing chain.........
forgot a picture... I will get one later.

another update:

Axial Rigid light bar set...

I wanted to use the led light strips instead of single leds...
makes for neat wiring, instead of a bunch coming out the back of the light you only see 2 ...

had to put a piece of styrene so the leds had something to stick to....

a hole was put in the styrene for the center pin that keeps the lens snug in the housing

then had to make the strip leds into 2 pieces

then had to feed the wire around the end and out the hole........

put it all together and we have this....

just fits below the bottom of the kayak and above the NorCal window banner.........

thanx for lookin..........
