I can't be the only one that thinks these would be an awesome way to start a custom housing build? A little chop-chop here, a little lathe work there, turn some new toobs, press 'em in, and build a truss. I see hours of fun ahead...

Yeah this wait is killing me. I'm in the middle of a build and need these to progress. I just really hope there's enough to go around and I don't miss out on a set because all three were sold in 16 seconds. Make a bunch SSD, they'll outsell every other option, I'm sure, just based on price alone.

Been eyeing Scale axles. Nice to see these come out. And for a decent price at that!

Despite not really needing these I do like the way they look and perhaps they will be stronger as well. Price is set perfect, nice job with the market research SSD. I love how they are a stock style replacement and backwards compatible with everything currently on the market. These are going to sell like crazy

| Re: New SSD SCX10 axle housings I'm with you! I've mastered narrowing AR60 axle housings, the same technique should work for these. I can see myself using the SSD center section and re-worked AR60 tubes for a nice looking plastic axle. I can see my 1/6th scale Jerp with some better looking axles under neath of it!

Now the biggest issue is getting them in Canada.

Looking forward to these. May need to make custom pan hard mount and 4link as I feel they are a little high causing weird upper link angles, but that could just be the pictures.

Just looked at RPP's site, I didn't see them listed anywhere.

Having done a few sets of AR60s myself, these and the Ascender housings are at the top of my list to build "my way" next. Sadly, I don't even have a rig for them to go in. Just ideas for some sweet axles. I can always figure out what to put them under later...

You want axle tubes for the new SSD axles? You could start with this, no lathe needed, just a steady hand and Dremel or good tub cutter. Titanium Grade 2 Tube OD 8mm x 6mm ID Length 500mm | eBay |

trevorsride, me too! I might have to get a stock housing to get back out there. I gave my son a honcho for his birthday so we could go trailing and now my rig is just sitting :(
