Default Truggy Build

hey guys decided to build my honcho from the ground up, finally got it back together enough to wheel and took some pics of her. we were testing out at a white water kayak park, at Holtwood Dam, in PA. when they're not running water is a perfect place for crawling. hope you enjoy the pics.... deffinately found some week parts and the winch controller broke so i couldnt tighten up the line.... still have alot i want to build on it.

Hey how did you attach the SMF cage to the Honcho body?
I'm looking for a clean way to do it so I can pop the body off quickly for battery changes.

In your third picture

The Red Toyota

looks like its a Mojave body on a Wraith Chassis

Is there more pictures and info on the that truck

I also own 2 SMF Truggy Frames

One my Honcho Truggy that has a Desert/Pre-Runner look to it

The other is my Toyota Mojave and it has a well used Crawler look to it

i took two body mount posts the thick ones and put them in the cage where the mounts are predrilled on the cage and then screwd them tight. all thats left was make two holes on my body and it slips on those pronges and then connects regular up front. worked great!

So how much chopping of the Mojave body

due have to do, too get it to fit on the Wraith chassis

I have the bed from the my Toyota Truggy and held it up to one of my

Wraith chassis and I see, the bed needs shortened too fit correctly

how much did you cut out of the bed ??

The front there is no grill, the front still needs trimmed Correct ??

and you don't use the cab back or rear window either correct ??

I have 2 of the older Wraiths one is a half roof and the other is a full roof, that got scrapped for parts for my 1:6 build

The half roof one would be the one getting the Toyota body mod

Ah ok good idea. I drilled two holes in the body and used the holes in the cage and just did a bolt/washer through the body to the cage with a nut.

It's a PIA to get my fingers up under the body/cage to thread/unthread the nut and can tell it's going to get old fast.

Def. going to try your idea. Thanks!
