| Axial dingo realism
Long story cut short, son had a dingo didnt like the body so i gave him my axial f100 body that came off my original scx10. Ok so im stuck with the dingo body, im not paying $200 for a 1/6 scale jk like I want and I'm not paying $100 for a axial jk body. So what's aftermarket out there that will work with the axial dingo body to make it look for realistic? Id like to make a hard body where the roll cage is if not i wNt to make a canvas top. But what about the front end grill , headlights, rear brake lights etc? Searching Google didn't help me much last night

Look up Camel Trophy Truck or d90 defender. My dingo is black and metal flake, its also just the "in between body" but if I was going to keep the dingo body I'd go this route D90 Camel Trophy Dingo Kit Build If you really don't like the dingo there are other bodies out there with the same wb for not a lot of coin. There is the Reign RC grill that makes the front end look like a Land Rover. Reign RC Axial Dingo Defender Grille & Light Bezels The generic Axial light bucket kit or RC4WD Defender lights could give you tail lights. Axial Light Bucket Set (Black) 1/10-1/14 D90 Large Red Light (Detailed) |

I made a soft top for my dingo...used some leftover honcho cage pieces to build up the cage in the rear...and used and grille cover from walmart to make the soft top.. it's an on going project.. I keep adding derails and stuff to it.. |

My take, tried to not go overboard and use mostly only the kit parts. with exeption of a few cheap lights, and driver Last edited by AngelowDoom; 01-20-2016 at 04:09 PM. |

Maybe because those are right hand drive? The RC4WD snorkel is molded that way, so unfortunately it only mounts on that side. But you could certainly fabricate something like those.

Yeah the intakes on the Defenders all depend on which side the steering wheel is on. All LHD LR the intake is on the pass side Also that white on is a TDi diesel and can only go to one side. Last edited by redemon; 01-21-2016 at 08:24 AM. |

Has anyone figured out what the molding/stickers in the rear/bed area of the stock Dingo body are supposed to represent? If it were to be an open bed (as something with a sloped cage like that might suggest) there wouldn't be all the "cross braces". Unless all of that geometry is supposed to give the illusion of seeing the bottom of a cargo area? if it isn't an open bed, all I can find picture reference wise are various configurations of more seating. The stuff there now clearly isn't more seating. If it isn't either of those two things, what is it? I'm trying to come up with a plan to make my Dingo look more like something real from the 1:1 world, but I'm having a hard time figuring out what to do with it. |
