Same size as our other Diamond axles. Looks bigger as the front axle is narrow compared to a rear and small diameter tubes make it look big also.

The C hubs that are included are splined SCX10 C hubs so stock SCX10 parts fit (CVD, knuckle).

The splines are the same as AR60 splines, so all AR60/Wraith/RR10 C hubs fit. This means you can easily do the narrow XR mod.

Awesome.

So the D60 axles are more for scale while these are all out strength/performance?

I love the look of the D60 and should pick up a set soon :-)

Yes, although the D60s are stronger than stock axles.

It looks like there's holes in the top to mount a servo plate. Is this correct or is this CMS only?

Edit: Guess I could've clicked the link before asking a dumb question. Looks great SSD.

I have been looking for pictures showing the SSD Diamond Front Axle for SCX10 mounted, and wondering if the drag link hits the chassis when the shocks are fully depressed.

Has anyone mounted the SSD Diamond Front Axle for the SCX10 yet?

Should I use the 2mm spacers that come with the servo plate, as on the D60s?

Reply to tjohanne:

I'd bet if you don't use the spacers that your upper links will hit the servo plate during articulation. ..

Comment about the axle:

I love the look of this axle, I have the rear one on my comp rig, FANTASTIC axle.

My only gripe I can see, is it looks like running a chassis mounted servo is essentially out of the question..

Am I wrong here?

No you don't need the spacers. The servo mount on the axle has a 10 degree angle.

Unfortunately you are right. This diamond design with 3rd member does not leave any room for upper link mount or panhard clearance.

I love that you guys kicked these out with a true scx width splined version. I will be picking up a front and rear very soon! Can we get a pick from the side with a servo mounted? I want to see all the angles

So I'm guessing since the servo is mount high the drag link hits the Axial chassis rail (bump steer)???? Correct???

Yes you can cut off the top and run servo on side of frame.

I dont think it does. The servo is not much higher than the stock axle servo mount. It is angled to account for the extra caster.

Even if it did touch I dont think it has anything to do with bump steer.

Great answer - I understand now.

I accidentally encountered the servo at a steep angle on a stock 4-link setup and the drag link never touched the chassis rail in full suspension compression, but I lost my caster in doing so.

I really like the overall design of the front axle...just wondering if theres a design in the works that'll eliminate the integrated 4-link? I prefer 3-link panhard setups, and the integrated 4link is the only thing preventing me from buying this.

I actually prefer this axle housing looks wise compared to other aluminum offerings other than the non removable servo mount. I don't understand how the first scx width aluminum splined one piece axle housing was made with a fixed servo mount???? Also why not offer the chub's separate and lower the price a bit. This would allow folks to choose their own chub and knuckle combo? I love SSD but am a bit disappointed in this axle.
