lookin for a lil help. Installed a new axial aluminum link kit and Mip driveshafts on a friends G6 Rubi with the 12" wheelbase. Took it out for a run and within 20 minutes the motor was extremely hot. It was bouncing/jumping a bit and seemed like it was loading up. Did some searching and from what I've read, I think the pins aren't aligned properly in the Mip driveshafts. My question is, would the driveline binding cause the motor to heat up like it did? Not too sure what would get it so warm. Could the pinion/spur mesh be too tight and cause heat issues? It's a month old rtr with stock electronics and has only been out a few times. Not sure if it matters but I'll throw it out there, the esc was warm but not to a temp that concerned me. Any suggestions on where or what I should check this afternoon when I can start messing with it?

Yes check your pinion angel the mip's can bind up if the angle isn't just so. If the the spur gear and pinion mesh is to tight that can also cause problems. 149 r/c worx team driver |

I was looking @ the link instructions and noticed a little spacer that goes in the front lowers for "servo clearance" that's probably unnecessary since he removed the crossmember that the servo arm was touching. If I remove that spacer it should help adjust the pinion right?
