Sounds like a nick in the spur gear or the set screw on the pinion is hitting it.

I noticed 2 things in those pics. The links aren't threaded all the way into the rod ends and it looks like your driveshaft is rubbing the spur cover. Check to make sure your pinion angle is good and I'd look @ that spur cover to see if it's rubbing. Might be able to flip the shaft or clearance the cover.

Thread all your rod ends on all the way and double check to make sure you have the links all in the correct locations. It may be the angle of the pics but it looks like your axle isnt centered? | |
