Playing in my "flowerbeds" with the Toyzuki and the scx10II..

3D printed Body mount gimmicks, way nice. I helped the guy get these in work..

Body stays very solid now, used to move the body on every solid hit..

Was having issues with not enough room between the motor plate and the front axle, so figured if I am going to lift the truck may as well add some droop. Picked up a set of used Wraith shocks..

Pretty flexy I think..

Outside..

So I ordered a tube bed for a SCX10, time to make it fit..

Started mock up with a Proline '66 Ford Cab..

Took the Sliders off to see what it more closely looks like..

Picked up a dinky Honcho interior and a Tamiya driver, but I haven't got to that yet..

Got a 3D printed cooler and a scale ratchet strap..

Bed just sitting in place..

Kurt Angle and Chris Jeicho giving my jeep driver crap for wearing a wool hat and no shoes..

Tube bed installed..

Toyzuki angled skid showing itself on the sliders...

Measured up about 3/8 inch on the rear of the cab to start...

That fits much better..

Body mount posts are too long..

Mounted, and magnets glued to the front mounts..

I Didn't want this guy to bee too shiny like a lexan body does, and I wanted it to show scratches, so painting on the outside. I did a coat of Tamiya polycarbonate silver..

Followed by automotive type red primer..

Paint gathered at the magnets...not to self, magnets after paint..

Sanded those off..

Try that again..

Now for red..

So because I ended up scoring some rockjocks for my scx10II, I descided to use the axles from that truck in this one, stock scx10II axles with metal housings..

Last look at the scx10 axles..

To make the axle fit in the front, I dug thru the pile of links that I have acquired and came up with an upper and the lowers about 1/4" longer than I was running, I also got rid of the wraith shocks and went back to the stock scx10 Deadbolt shocks..

Driveline touches the motor at compression, I may swap out the ROC412 for something shorter, maybe some curved links too?

Rear went in easy, did about 3/8" longer links and scx10 shocks..

Longer wheelbase made the shocks lean forward, should aid flex.

Is this an scx10II now?

Painted body in place..

Sorry for so many pics, But I am liking it quite a bit..

Got the grille stickers on..

Decided to change up the wheels..I got these in an auction with the tires a long time ago, decided to put on some new locked up rings..

Yeah..

Picked up a dinky Honcho Interior...Cut it up a bit as I didn't want as much of an area behind the seats..

Lookin pretty good I think..

Because of how the dinky interior fits, while mocking it up it hit everything.. So last look at the electronics as they have been since I originally made the swap to Toyzuki..

Interior placed with Velcro..

A guy was advertising a VP link set for something, I noticed it had some bent links in the kit, so out of the 10 pcs, 4 happened to work for my lower links..

Front...way close with the 412 in there..

Not too shabby..

Added the factory wiring box between the towers in the rear..

Clearance looks good with those links..

I took a servo plate, and mounted it under the Toyzuki braces, bolted right up..

This gave me somewhere to put a small ESC..

And wired it all back up. This gives me the room for a dinky interior, as long as I go with a 4000 3s instead of the 5000 I had been running..

Getting closer...interior work next..

Shortened dinky interior and the Tamiya driver painted up..

Red Steering wheel because its cool.

Rearview mirror might be broke but he has dice.

In case you can't tell he likes 4x4's

Upgrading the scx10II c-hubs and there is an interference issue... SSD parts..

The clamping part is hard into the shock mount. Anyone else have this issue?

I am going to try this...

This lowers the truck a bit, I'll have to drop the upper mounts to match.. Tires rub the fenders as it was before this change..

Should work?

You can move the motor mount up a bit to avoid interference.

Use the upper hole as the new lower, and drill 2 new holes in the chassis.

Could you please tell me where you bought the rear cage from? It's one of the best looking ones that I've seen. Thank you for any help. I enjoyed looking at your build thread btw.

Thank you for responding. Man that's crazy. I was actually looking on Google images last week and found a picture that he had posted to pinterest and I finally was able to track down who built them. Which was smf. So I contacted him and now I'm actually getting that one built for my honcho.

I want to do a SMF cage for my SCX10II also, but I want to be able to put the bedsides on from the proline 66 chev body..

I was having issues with the SCX10II axles, the C hubs kept moving when I really bound up the front end, so I got some from SSD...

Then a new issue arose.. I could not use the screw hole for the lower shock as the clamp for the C hub was in the way...

So I moved the shock to the link mount and moved down a hole on the Toyzuki upper shock mount...

Pretty much back how it was, but with a much stronger C hub that should not move.

Have you thought about sending the truck to him? But if you're like me you don't trust the mail man that much.
