Mounting the Mighty FC Body

For those of you using body posts, what are you going with? Looks like the new SCX10 II body posts might work, but thought I would check to see if anyone has already done it.

Thanks in advance

I don't have the fc body but I have mounted bodies with high tops before

You are going to need to use the single piece dual body mount, the one in the shape of an "x". This should have enough height to work for your body. I don't know the part number but I know it is included in the kits and rtrs. Good luck!

Thanks. Repurposing my Honcho for this. If my Honcho came w/ body mount, I don't know where it is now (or perhaps I tossed it). Imagine it's the same as the one they're selling for the SCX10 II.

FC body?

Re: Mounting the Mighty FC Body

Yes. I got the link set to shorten the wheelbase appropriately, and just replaced the links today. While waiting for the paint and body posts to come in for the FC, I'm running the honcho on the shortened wheel base (had to put a couple more holes in the body) and I'm really digging the look!

I just mounted an FC body using the Axial high posts and these extensions

Here's how it looks.

But how did Axial mount the body in their promo pictures? The included posts arent tall enough, it seems.https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...4e19d15453.jpg

I had no issues using the Axial tall "X" looking body post when I mounted my FC body

Since this picture the body was removed from the chassis and moved to the SCX10.2 https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...5f2f7fb1f5.jpg

Again no issues when using the tall body "X" posts. The lower part add on lexan part will sit on the the chassis rails but it is no big deal. Going on 3yrs now and still no paint on the body maybe some day

thanks for the pictures! I must check to see if my stock tall posts have different lengths (I have several). Otherwise this is very strange:)

Where did you get the cage roll bar setup you have on there?

Are these bodies top heavy because of the cab?

It is the Knight Customs front cage for the FC. I picked it up from RPP Hobby. Not sure if they still have them but you should be able to get it from us Shapeways store also.
The light bar is 6 inch and fits almost perfectly. Just needs a little spacer on each side.

They tend to be but with the light bar I am not helping myself out. If left stock it’s probably no worse than the Axial MOG. I just added some rear axle weight to help out.
