Yeah man, it's time this rig gets finished in a proper fashion. I'll start a thread here soon, I've got one started at the SGB. I'm waiting on more parts to arrive.

It looks like the RC4WD and SSD trans came out of the same Chinese factory...

Watched a video of a Chinese rc factory the other night, their packaging room was a cornucopia of brand names. Not saying that this is the case, just a interesting observation and an interesting video. RC sparks had something too when they where over in Taiwan, Hong Kong, china or one of those places.

I know that they were both designed by the same guy. I'd assume they come out of the same factory.

Yeah I know I owned it and the one who had it coated wasn't happy with the finish maybe the last person got it recoated.

Because I didn't like the powder coat and I wasn't gonna throw more money at it. Don't think so. Pretty sure I sent them with it.

Did you originally design the RC4WD AX2 transmission too for RC4WD, which is why its so similar to the SSD 2 speed wraith transmission kit?

Been running the SSD/GCM combo in my TF2 for a bit now and love it, so naturally...started building a Scx10 that needed a setup like this...Ordered today...cant wait to get it.

Yes in 2011 if my memory serves correctly. The SSD 2 speed is an improved version as it is compatible with the stock top shaft/gear and the motor plate is same shape to fit the stock gear cover. While they make look the same, if you know anything about gearing you will know it is a complete redesign to achieve that.

Can the r5's t-case be flipped and run a right side drop? If so, might look to use this setup in a toyota build...
