Nice job on that bumper man. So for your first time brazing did you think it was pretty eazy? I been thinking about getting a brazing setup and trying to build a bumper for my rig.

It wasn't bad you just have to be patient, wait until the material is glowing nice bright orange and everything will flow pretty easily. Basically it's like soldering with an open flame. I could definitely use some more practice before I would say I'm good at it but I think with some work I could increase my skill. This is the torch set up I got https://www.menards.com/main/tools-h...95448702241930 I would recommend grabbing a few extra oxygen tanks right off the bat since it seems to go pretty quick |

Great job on replicating your XJ. I'm working on a clone of my JKU.

Its quite amazing how you can put metal together and it looks like hell and then a few minuets (or hours! Lol) with a grinder and make it come out so nicely. Thanks for posting a link to your setup man.

Figured I could update this thread with some new pics since PB decided to bone us. I sanded down the front bumper to bare metal and gave it a nice Wrinkle black paint job also threw in some pics of the whole truck just in case you guys forgot what it looked like |
