Pure Spider Axles I just saw this video on youtube about "pure spider axle". I find it meets every fantasy I have for a perfect axle. Portal axle for maximum ground clearance, 48degree steering angle, knuckle weights for low CG. Except I can't find there website or anyone sale it on eBay.So… does anyone have a pair of those? Does it work well? Where can I get one? Thanks everyone http://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/2016...44411baace.pnghttp://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/2016...b85496bc28.pnghttp://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/2016...0863f12ff9.pnghttp://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/2016...d8a0ac3349.png Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Re: Pure Spider Axles I saw these at Crawlapalooza too, I was very curious, when the guy told me they were pure spider axles I figured they came off of some kyosho or losi truck called the pure spider. I wish I knew what they were, I would've asked a lot more questions. Very cool design, way too much cash for a set, and I'm sure everything is proprietary which means scarce parts and no aftermarket supported options. |
Re: Pure Spider Axles From everything I read on them, everyone runs them over in Italy. They definitely aren't cheap but they rarely break or have issues from what I have read. Tolerances are so tight there is zero slop anywhere. They make the axles like 8-10 sets a run .... gotta get on a waiting list was my understanding. They are handmade in small runs but if you can get them they are worth it. Price is relative, how many sets of built scx10 axles have you built/replaced with parts $20-40 bucks at a time. You could be $500+ into a set of curries... trash the ring and pinions a couple times and break 2 sets of cvds and be at he same $800 price point. When I think about how many times I have changed axles and built and rebuilt over the years I could have a set of the DLUX 1808s that run $700 plus an axle depending on options. |
Re: Pure Spider Axles They run this axels up to 6S in competition with no breakage. |
Re: Pure Spider Axles Whilst yes they are eye candy and clearly very good and we'll made, can anyone justify spending that much each end on they're rig ? Had this conversation the other day about how rc cars end up costing as much as your actual car ! |

Re: Pure Spider Axles 1 Attachment(s) RC4WD just released their version. Hopefully these DON'T have RC4WD's legendary durability. |
Re: Pure Spider Axles These RC4WD ones don't make sense. Not really gaining any clearance Sent from my LG-H900 using Tapatalk |
