more steering angle please!!!!

I buy SSD pro aluminum knuckles and SSD HD CVD axles for my Power Wagon. The max angle I can turn is 40°, because my servo can't turn more. What I can do to get the maximum steering angle of the SSD knuckles???? My SCX10 have a spektrum A6030 digital servo and the stock AX-3 transmitter.

Thanks

Randy

Are the axles maxing out or is it something else? There are a lot of things that could be limiting it.

If the axles aren't maxing out, you may be able to adjust the end points on your radio or use a longer servo horn.

You should upgrade your transmitter...
so that it has exponential and end point adjustments.
This will allow the servo's throw to be adjusted by the tranmitter.

But you also need to be sure that it can mechanically do that.
And that no interference is hampering that movement.

Some CV/universal joints do not allow for enough turning capability...
and so be sure those are not causing any turning limitation.

Start by removing the servo's horn (draglink).
Check the steering linkage throw to be sure nothing else is interfering or limiting that movement.

With the drag link or servo horn removed...
manually turn the steering linkage full left and right while the wheels are being driven (rotated)
Make sure the axle CV's do not create any bind or resistance when doing that.

If there is any resistance... determine what that is and make correction...
or limit the expo trim so the steering can't be turned too far.

In order to mechanically increase servo's throw...
the servo horn arm may need be somewhat longer.

But realize that a longer servo horn arm will also reduce the servo's max torque output/leverage slightly
as well could possibly cause interference with the axle housing during that movement.

Bottom line...
checking the steering mechanically and having an upgraded transmitter
will prove in-valuable for improving steering throw.

Thanks everybody for your great advices!!! Mechanically, everything is OK. I can't put a longer servo horn because of the drag link. I think a need a upgraded transmitter....
