Here are a few more pics to remind me that tiny trucks are fun to drive while I wait for the 20 inches of snow on the trails to melt. Axial SCX-10 Dingo by johnny anguish, on Flickr Axial SCX-10 Dingo by johnny anguish, on Flickr Axial SCX-10 Dingo by johnny anguish, on Flickr |

It's snowing again today, but it doesn't seem to be adding up to much. I took the Scrap Dingo out for a little run since the weather looks to be brutally cold and windy after the front blows through. It took quite the tumble out there, rolling about 100 feet down a hill as I tried to dislodge a stick that had gotten caught up in the links. Oops. The body picked up a few new scratches, but the tiny truck was otherwise no worse for the wear. Now, if I could just find some Columbo episodes to watch. I've got a Bomber to build, dang it! | Re: Johnny builds a scrap Dingo Thank you! We've got another Nor'easter blowing in right now. I did manage to get out for as mile or so this morning before it started. I'm ready for spring. UPDATE: Still no Columbo on Netflix. UPDATE: The Scrap Dingo keeps on tiny truckin'. It's been rainy, but that hasn't stopped us from hitting the trails. Here's some photographic proof: Axial SCX-10 Dingo by johnny anguish, on Flickr The Scrap Dingo also made it's first official trip to the crawler course at my LHS. Despite the wet conditions and a course that's generally designed for larger 1.9 tires, the rig performed admirably. The little Genius tires worked great and nothing broke. Well, the license plate came off, but that wasn't going to slow down our favorite First Order defector. The Scrap Dingo is up over 40 trail miles. Other than some routine maintenance to keep the squeaks at bay, the little rig has been hassle free. Also, there's still no Columbo on Netflix. Axial SCX-10 Dingo by johnny anguish, on Flickr Axial SCX-10 Dingo by johnny anguish, on Flickr |

I really like those pictures, great job. I have had a Dingo for about 5 years and we just recently dusted our crawlers off and started running them again. I remember seeing those grilles you have on your body, but cant remember who makes them. What LED light system are you running? Thats what I have been wanting to add to mine.

I picked up some Baja MTZs on a whim at my LHS recently. I mounted them up on some old GMade steelies I had lying around and threw 'em on the Dingo. The tires themselves look nice and seem to work decently. The foams leave something to be desired (no surprise there), but kept the L'il Scrapper rolling down the trail nonetheless. I'd like to put some CI foams in there, but they'd need to be narrowed quite a bit for these skinny tires. In the end, I'll probably get the Genius rubber back on there pretty quickly. When I went to the MTZs, I noticed the GMade hubs were a little too wide to fully seat in the 1.9 Landies wheels. Not sure why I didn't catch that before. Switching back gave me an excuse to pick up some of my favorite hubs. Behold the tiny truck glory of LURC cover style ultra hubs. Unfortunately, I didn't use any Loctite and lost one out on the trail. They look sooooo good, though. I ordered a replacement right away. I can't believe I didn't see this before now, that's exactly what a Dingo should look like! Great looking rig man.

Sad news: There's still no Columbo on any of the streaming services. I've almost gotten to the point where I'm going to break down and buy the DVDs (the downloads are crazy expensive). Please advise. Not so sad news: The Scrap Dingo is still a very fun tiny truck. It passed 60 miles on the trails recently. Still not broken.
