| Re: Scx10 lift or no lift I am using a lift kit. I have mixed emotions with it. I think I need stiffer shocks or springs cause it doesnt like to side hill. I am running 100mm shocks right now but think they are to long.

I run neither, though on my ugly duckling I am running shorter (85mm) shocks. Unless it is a mud truck I personally don't see the point of lift kits or crazy long shocks on the scx, but that is just my opinion.

Scx10 with stock length shocks is best. Set it up so that shocks are near the middle of travel or slightly lower, it will crawl and sidehill way better and just have to plan ahead and drive better when it comes to getting over obstacles. |

I've had stock shocks for the last 7 years.... and I mud very hard ! Also trails inclines and streams. Lift kits as much as anything not only look IMO THE awful but also mess with your center of gravity.

I just got the strc body lift and I like it. I am running it with 2.2 proline tires. Right now I have 100mm shocks and want to go down to 85-90mm shocks. But for now I am happy.

I like my 100mm shocks on my SCX-10 plenty. But I'm not going for height... instead... shock travel. Tuned right.. they work very well. I run Traxxas alloy BB's currently along with Losi 4" 1.8 rated springs. And 25 wt synt. oil viscosity. I utilize no pre-load and my rig likely weighs around 10 lbs. |

I had a SCX10 Dingo that was lifted and it worked well. But the Scx10II I seem to like better with it at stock height and 20wt oil in the shocks.
