| Spare parts wroncho
I had some down time today so I decided to build a truck with only what I had in my stash of rc stuff. After a few hrs I ended up with this wroncho. Still needs a few things like a esc/bec/rx installed, make a battery tray, and I'll have to buy driveshafts but for a few hrs of tinkering I'm happy with how it's shaping up. Will just be a general purpose trail rig. As you can see i will have a couple different bodies to run on it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Got some more done on this rig. Got a set of very used mip shafts and vanquish diff covers and swapped in my used and beat vanquish housings and filled them with 43/13 hd gears, locked up spools and axial universals, all out of my parts stash. Also has vanquish chubs/knuckles and steering links. Dug out a old hitec 5955 servo and a spektrum rx as well as put in a almost new HH 35t expert motor. Found a proline SD body in the stash that fits great so I'll probably paint it up this weekend. Next up is I need to make sliders to put the battery and electronics in and buy a BEC and get my used HH torquemaster esc programmed and installed Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

So I painted the Chevy lid. I tried liquid mask for the first time and it didn't work well at all. Well it kind of kept going downhill from there trying to paint it. Oh well it's good enough for a spare parts rig Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Got it all wired up and running tonite. It def needs new foams and I should try to build a sway bar for it since it has savage torque twist. It's pretty quick but still has very good low speed control. Gearing is something like 56/14 didn't really look just used what I had may go down a tooth on the pinion. I'm going to try getting it out on the trails this weekend and see how it really does Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Made some changes to this thing before I got it out on the trails today Regeared it to 18/87, put some 4.75" CI firm outer foams over some unknown inners in the front wheels, still too soft. Rear foams are garbage, will have to come up with something better. Put in a jr ds8711 servo up front. After a few hrs on the rocks I found a few other things to change. I stretched the rear links out 1/4" so the wb is 13-1/8" now, and built a riser to change the rear suspension geometry to try and keep the nose down on climbs. It has hub weights up front and I don't want to add any more weight to it. Put 225 hubs in the back to narrow it up a bit. Hope to get it out again soon to try out the latest changes Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
