AR60s on SWB SCX10?

I saw a set of STRC short wheelbase SCX10 frame rails on eBay, and I started thinking...

Has anyone used AR60s on a short wheelbase SCX10 with a Wrangler or Bronco body? I have an AX10 that I don't use much, so it could donate a lot of parts. Would it look like a Wrangler on ton axles, or would it look ridiculous?

Stock SCX10 axles are already pretty wide on the Wrangler body. I got mine in the ballpark by body trimming for an aggressive stance overall and using the narrowest offset wheels I could find. I think AR60's would look crazy...the wheelbase is so short, the truck would be wider than it is long. Unless you're building a mega/mud truck of some kind. Just my 2 cents.

Your Wrangler is kind of what I had in mind. I've seen a few 1:1s around here that are a little more extreme in stance, but I wasn't sure how well it would look with the Tamiya body. I suppose I will have to compare them sometime this week. Otherwise, I will have to swap the AR60s to my Wraith or buy another set of SCX10 axles.

I say go for it. I plan to get some AR60s under my JKU when I blow up my stock SCX10 axles. Going for the full width ton axles on 40s look. Granted it will be longer, but even the short wheelbase should look pretty knarly. Atleast you won't rub the body as much since the tires will take the hit.
