| Shock oil
Hi all, I've decided to go through my shocks and clean them up. So after I got them apart I realized I didn't have enough oil. But I do have some leftover fork oil from an old motorcycle. Has anyone use motorcycle fork oil in their SCX10 shocks? It's Amsoil full synthetic medium #10. Would it harm anything? It's definitely lighter than the 30 I had in them. Thanks, Scott |

I'm gonna give it a go. Just have to wait for some parts to show up. Will update ASAP.

Don't see why it wouldn't work. Amsoil is a quality company, I've been a dealer for years and use it in all my turbo cars. I wouldn't mix the 2 oils though.

UPDATE: Did the Amsoil fork oil in my SCX10 shocks and I must say they rebound much faster compared to the 30wt I had in them, but they are silky smooth. Scott |
