Shock length

Hi all,

Want to replace my stock SCX10 shocks and was looking at some on eBay
However they are 106mm, is that too long? I put a lift on the truck and like the stance. Measuring from eye to the shock hoop hole puts me at 100mm.

Thanks,
Scott

Re: Shock length

I had the king 100mm on my scx10 and it moved the weight to high for my taste. actually just rebuilt the stock ones and it performs way better, but i did get some great articulation and some sweet flex shots with those tall shocks on there ha

Yes 106mm shocks will be way to long. The stock length is 90mm. I ran fake 100mm kings on my scx10 with a lift kit and it was way to top heavy and rolled over its lid more times than not, put the stockers back on and it rolls less. I wouldnt go no more than say 95mm or less. I loved the flex I got as well with the 100mm shocks but not worth the loss in climbing ability.
