Default Austin's Slow SCX-10 build Turned Slow Wroncho build

I decided to build an axial SCX-10 for a winter project. They look like a lot of fun. So, I am going to order it one piece at a time and finally end up with something. We have two scx-10/ax10 axle sets and rcbros burly tubes for the XR-10 width mod.

Here's the tubes laid out.

The tubes installed with the wraith universals and dlux knuckle ready for install.

Front axle done! Almost...

I am thinking the clearance would be very tight will the dlux knuckle and 1.9 wheels. Has any body run them on a SCX-10? I am thinking I will use my plastic XR knuckles with rcbros steering arms instead.

I received the axial scx-10 frame set today. I want to run it close to stock before I start modifying it.

Assembled without the battery mount.

Yep, I thought it would be nice to start from the beginning.

Some Vanquish goodies came today, one CMS mount and panhard mount.

The axles are assembled!

Here's how the car sits, still a ways to go.

Thank you 701scaler for the nice comment.

I received a couple more pieces of the car.

I spent some time building a link set for the scx10 and the axial icon shocks. It took two tries to get my measurements correct, but I finished the timely part of the build.
130mm rear lowers
125mm rear uppers
122mm front lowers
About 119mm front upper
90mm track bar and drag link

It is almost a roller.

I'm trying to decide on which body to order. The proline 92 Jeep Cherokee body or the Axial Jeep Wrangler unlimited body? I already place an order for a scaler fab trail bar front bumper. I think it will look fine on either body. Maybe better on the wrangler?

I have only used SCX10 shocks on a MOA style crawler and they work great. They are known for leaking but some green slime shock lube takes care of it.

Thanks for the comment ScGRaceR! I will be going with VP or Gear Head wheels and Pit bull tires.

I received the Scaler Fab front bumper yesterday. It is very nice and well built.

Here is a shot before wiring.

After the wiring is complete. The axial/Castle Creations AE-2 seems like a nice ESC. All though it didn't find zero on my TX, but +65 clicks solved it.

Looks bitchin.. Nice progress!
I just finished assembling my scx g6 kit few days ago and should be getting electronics pretty soon. I noticed you're in coloRADo as well, I'm in the springs. Whereabouts are you at?

Thank you for the comment CO_JKU. Unfortunately I am in CA right now.

I received the bit bull tires today. Does anyone have experience with the stock two stage foams?

I spent some time and mounted the tires to the Gear Head wheels.

I also changed out the shocks for some turned down Traxxas big bores with Losi springs. They are 95mm eye to eye. The track bar no longer hits the frame rail and no interference with full down travel in the front.

Up and rolling now!

I received my proline Jeep cherokee body today and Heyok remote light switch.

I can't decided which color to paint it. I am thinking flat black or red and black. What do you all think?

I received a couple new parts for my scx10 today.
First is a pair of the TSS chassis rials. My first real performance upgrade for it.

The second thing is an all new Axial trail honcho body.
