Default Drive Shaft Options with 100mm shocks

Hi, I recently replaced my stock shocks on my C/R edition with 100 mm piggy back shocks and now the stock front drive shaft is too short. I've also upgraded the stock links.

What extended drive shaft do I need to upgrade to in order to work with the 100 mm shocks? MIP?

Thanks!

I decided to order the MIP drive shafts (https://www.asiatees.com/display?id=...al&model=SCX10)

They look amazing but unfortunately the one driveshaft would not fit as the coupling hits the transmission. Also, the screw/pin of the existing driveshaft coupler was seized and unable to remove. I'm gonna have to drill out the pin now.

Anyone have any suggestions?

Do you have pics of where it hits the transmission? On mine it contacted the spur gear cover, which I simply cut a hole in so that the driveshaft would fit. I actually run with no cover now, I replaced the plastic backing plate with spacers and am enjoying my much simpler transmission now. As of how to remove the pin, that's about your best bet. Good luck.

I have discovered that Junfac driveshafts work at a larger angle and they are smaller diameter so there is no issues with interference like MIP shafts...

I’ve shattered the endbells on 4of the junfac’s
I know on my wraith MIP has a couple of different length , I needed it to clear my SuperShafty motor plate

Default Drive Shaft Options with 100mm shocks

My R1 powered by Tekin gen3 17.5 thru a BLE on 3s. Running ruptures in riprap , great grip, 4ws. Found the stock Gmade worked better

I had the cv’s to increase the steering, they shattered also , that’s why I went back to straight drive axles and a rear steer conversion. I had these failures due to traction , grip and terrain

Here's a photo:

I've drilled out the pin. Still haven't been able to replace this driveshaft due to the rubbing. Won't running with no cover be an issue with debris, water, etc?

Theoretically yes, that could be a problem. However, if you have a newer SCX10 with 32P gears it is very unlikely that it will cause problems. Even with 48P gears, I have never stripped a spur out due to debris since I removed the cover. Not saying you won't, but it's not as likely as people think. Depends on driving environment too, but I'd rather have strong driveshafts and maybe have to upgrade to 32P gears than have to leave everything stock.

I use the 08101 on my wraiths and scx10s, they say for ax10 but they are perfect and usually only $40.
