I got my headlights done, I used warm white LED's and they give the exact look of the old style headlights back the way they were in the 70's. I also put some in the bumper for fog lights...

Took the Scout out to the property today. I thought it ran very well for the size of tires, it will be a class 1 rig as soon as I make a full width front bumper(as wide as the windshield).

I changed the front bumper out to be class 1 legal, I have a few other things to do to make it class 1 legal but this is a start. I again made it out of brass and it worked out great...

I lost my foglights and trail bar bumper but I will be building a better one later with the trail bar and winch fairlead to upgrade the one I just built...

Took the Scout out today and hit a good sized rock in reverse with the brass tube bumper..it did better than I thought it would and looks like scale damage

My aluminum diamond plate sheets came in yesterday, I cut it out and after a few tries I got the look I wanted. I think it turned out well, I glued them on with E6000 and when it dries I can put the license plate back on and hopefully it is enough to get into class 1

I messed up the measurement on the right side and made it too tall, so it came closer to the reverse light than the left, but the license plate fixed that!

I cant put head lights on this and not do tail lights...I couldn't find the exact style I wanted but I had these lenses left over from a Tamiya kit I got for the head lights and incorporated the axial 5mm single LED holders into them. I think it turned out pretty well for what I had to work with. I made the holes in the body (which made me cringe because its such a rare body) and used E6000 to glue them in. On to the pics!

went out to the new home today to let the quartz counter top guy in to measure for the new quartz counter tops..

I decided to take the scout out for a run while I waited for him to get everything measured out...got a little muddy!

The Goodyear MT/R tires did very well

How do you like the mt/r tires? I really like the looks of them. Just wondering really world performance. I like that body, nice to see something different.

I haven't been doing much with any of my rigs lately, especially the Scout. I am trying to locate an interior that is off the shelf so to speak, that will work with the Scout body. Anyone have any suggestions? I don't have a lot of spare time right now to scratch build one, but may have to if I can't locate an alternative.

my initial thought would be to take some rough measurements of the inside of the body and try the proline interior kit or an scx10 JKU cutout interior. I have a JKU cutout I can measure for you at home if you'd like, just PM me and remind me.

You can get copies of the Proline interior prepainted off Ebay for $13.

https://www.ebay.com/itm/1-10-Car-Sh....c100009.m1982

For that price, you can hack it up as much as you have to and not feel bad about it. The prepainted black one would even look pretty good with the paint on the Scout.
