Winter Wroncho build, have a few questions Ive been collecting used bits and pieces all summer and plan on building a Wroncho this Fall/Winter. I have an SCX10 rails, skid plate and scx10 motor that I plan on attaching Wraith axles to. nothing new, just new to me. My question is about the alignment of the pumpkins on the axles. Do I need to use a wraith skid plate or is using a sxc10 skid plate and turning the motor around needed? |
Re: Winter Wroncho build, have a few questions Either skid will work. If you use the Wraith skid you'll need to bend the rails to match the rest of the chassis braces. The Wraith links will work then but you will also need a Wraith tranny as it's longer from output to output. Use the SCX skid and you'll need some custom links. |
Re: Winter Wroncho build, have a few questions search "wroncho plates" in the vendor section and do yourself a favor and pay the 25 bucks or whatever it is. They mount to the outside of the frame rails of stock frame and skid scx10 and give a lot of link mounting options to keep you from having to bend the frame rails to wraith width or make custom links. |

They're hard to see in this pic, but they show just behind the rear axle, and just in front of the front axle...just look for the name Axial |
Re: Winter Wroncho build, have a few questions My first one, Bro Dozer, I used outboard links. They worked but not as good as a traditional setup. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...4704b18649.jpg It flexed and crawled well. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...e8a9003e5f.jpg I don't have any pics of the second one on my phone with the bent frame rails. |
