Default What am I missing???

Here’s what I have. I installed some D60 axles and Vanguish Stage 1 goodies on them. But as you can see once I put the wheels on... no clearance. I tried putting on some traxxas hub but still doesn’t work. I am sure that this has been covered somewhere before but I cannot find it. Thanks for the help

I don't have any personal experience with those parts, but as I see it you have 4 options:
1: replace the spindles with ones with angled control arms
2: use skinnier tires
3: Depending on if you have any length to spare on your stub axle, use wider wheel hexes to space the rim out some
4: find wheels with larger back spacing. Looks like that particular combination of parts wasn't meant to work together. Hope this helps!

Ok so you should have got the SSD Pro Steering kit instead and you wouldn't have this problem.

You need to get some offset hubs to move the wheels out a little.

What's the thickness of your 12mm wheel hexes? You may need thicker ones to tune your current wheel and tire setup.

The vanquish setup is designed to be used slw hubs. An adjustable width hub set sold by Vanquish. Many rims are Slw compatable and all are 6 lug.

This is why I hate and despise the VP 8* setup....it forces you to buy slw wheels or jump thru a bunch of hoops buying spacers and different wheels to get the damn things to work on your truck....the axial high clearance knuckles and adjustable c-hubs dont. They plain work with the wheels you already have and they give a nice reduction in turning radius. I just replaced the vp crap on mine and will sell them in the classifieds.

Default What am I missing???

I’m in the process of installing the stage 1 kit myself and now I’m regretting it....I’m already having trouble fitting my CVD’s. I’ll look when I get home, but it looks like one might be able to drill new holes in the arm closer to the knuckle and cut off the excess.

The slw hubs are fine as long as you are running slw compatible wheels...if not, you have limited options

SLW hubs are made by Vanquish Products(VP)
Go to the SSD website and see what hubs they recommend . Yes they will fit, but you need the proper width

Hang up and Drive

All SSD wheels are SLW hub compatible. This means you can buy SLW type compatible hubs from any manufacturer that have the offset you need. Our wheels come with the least offset so you need to work out how much your wheels need to go out to stop the rubbing.

We have 3mm offset rotor hubs but I'm not sure it's enough just by looking at your photos.
