| Leaky Shocks
Just bought a Deadbolt and noticed two the shocks had leaked out which is no big deal since that's the first thing I do is change out the oil. After only one run, seen all oil has leaked out again. So now I need to upgrade and not sure which ones to go with. Any suggestions and pictures would be helpful.

A lot of people swear by the Traxxas Big Bore shocks. Buttery smooth and they don't leak. They are available in 80, 90, and 100mm lengths.

You can try rebuilding with Team Associated Green Slime and thicker silicone oil, or just upgrade to Traxxas TRX-4 shocks. Big bores are great too, but less scale-looking.

Big bores are good but don’t want anything of Traxxas, rather have some realistic looking or with the springs built inside. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

I have some big bores, some cheap eBay, some internally sprung, and lots of Scx10 shocks. The internally-sprung are a real pain to adjust.

My 2 cents....... Rebuild what you've got, using Green Slime. Mount them UPSIDE-DOWN. That's worked well for me, for about 2 years now! If nothing else, you can still run that way, while you decide.... |
