Wrango’s SCX10 Build / Facelift

I’ve had my SCX10 RTR for the past ~5yrs, and have kept it pretty much bone stock. I used to attend competitions here in Vancouver with it. Finally came to the realization that I truly miss getting out, and spending the day on the trails / rocks with a bunch of people that share the same passion for the hobby as I do.

Recently, I added in a Sidewinder V3 ESC, and Hitec HS-5646WP servo. Not much, but a start none the less. I have the following parts coming in from AsiaTees, Amazon, eBay, Great Hobbies, and Vanquish all within the next month or so:

Tekin 35T Rock Crawler Motor
Tough Armor Side Bars
MIP Drive Shafts
Axial Aluminum Links
INJORA Cherokee Hard Body
INJORA Cherokee Interior
Boom Racing Front Bumper B
Boom Racing Battery / Servo Relocation Plate
Vanquish Ripper Rear Bumper
Traxxas Waterproof Receiver Box / Mount

I am looking to get some advice for new tires, as I am still running my old Flat Irons. Having a tough time deciding between the 1.9 Super Swampers & the 1.9 Rock Beasts. I mostly do trail runs, but during competitions you get everything thrown at you. I guess I am needing the better all round tire. If you think I should go a different direction, just lemme know!

Pictures will start to get posted as all my orders start arriving. Here is what I am looking at right now. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...2f94a7b6e3.jpg

Thanks, still trying to hunt down the perfect set of tires. Thinking RockBeasts, maybe the XL version. Getting a Cherokee hard body so I don’t want any rubbing.

Also cannot go wrong with Super swamper Tsl's. No offence HDMM.

All depends on your preference for looks, and terrain. I find the RB. do better on more rock and sand, while the Tsl's do better in the loose stuff mud, and logs. They are both excellent tires and cannot go wrong either way.

You gonna do a build thread? Thanks for your opinion though, I am leaning towards RBs.

I see myself doing more rock stuff, and trail runs. I am leaning towards RBs, but might pick up both to be completely honest. Looking for a good wheel now to go with my Cherokee body.

I may, it's been a long time since I've done one. BTW, agree with the opinion on the RB's great for rock, dirt and trails. TSL's for deep sand and mud. I've run both on multiple rigs. For me the RB's tended to sidehill better.

My INJORA Cherokee body arrived. Honestly, very impressed with the build quality. Not 100% complete, but have the main parts together. Will definitely be getting 1.9 RB XLs, as the wheel wells are pretty accommodating for bigger tires. (Yes, my MIP Rear Driveshaft is hanging down. Still waiting for my Aluminum links to show up)
