| New/Used Axial Dingo?
I recently scored off let go a Freshly built but never wheeled Axial scx10 dingo kit model loaded with a tekin fx-r and teeing 35turn motor and savox digital servo 0252mg servo and and a Spektrum DX3s DSM Sport controller and a 2500 onyx nigh pack 180$ i think was a good deal he asked 240$ but it was dead and He wasn't interested in showing me it ran so I said 180$ I think its a dingo land rover defender body it is 4 link and metal trailing arms the plastic rod ends seem to be kinda sloppy is there a way to replace them with aluminum? Also what needs grease ? I want to take full advantage of the tekin fx-r I've never had anything this nice and tips or tricks? Also looking into a BEC and CMS swap to get the servo off the axle. I need to up load pics asap Last thing is it had 20/87 gearing I swapped in a 17/87 and seems to slow down and not axle torque as much, I like slow and steady so top speed isn't for me |

You are going down a deep rabbit hole. This hobby is very addicting! You will love the SCX10, I do and I have 5 other crawlers, comp rigs and scalers. You can aesily upgrade the links. Axial makes kits with all the Aluminum links you need for this rig. If not you can easily make them or find some used ones on here. The rod ends I use are all Traxxas rod ends, availabe at your LHS. Also check RCRecycler. The FXR is a nice little controller it can easily handle 3s lipos (if you want more like 4s need some minor mods.) Tekin makes good quality stuff. I run FXRs in my comp rigs. If the rig is new to you I personaly would take diffs and transmission apart and grease them. You wont know without dissassembly what is inside them. It will also give you a chance to get familliar with the truck. If you have to do a repair on the trail its nice to know your rig. Welcome aboard. Last edited by Hal; 04-09-2018 at 04:01 PM. |

Tekin FSR's are nice IMO, I've always ran them without a single issue. Very easy to program, instructions are on Tekins web site. CMS swap is easy w/ a SSD or VP kit. Have fun , these rigs are very capable trail ride/comp rigs with just some minor suspension tuning. |
