Default Need a good transmission output gear.

Velion powered SCX10, already have hardened gears through the whole truck, issue I have is the final output gear in the transmission has the flats ground in it for the drive shafts, these shake loose every 5 min of driving, I need to find a brand of output gears that can handle the power but have the drilled holes in it to fasten the driveshafts to. I have drilled ones in the axles and no issues on those ends.

Needs to be strong, the rig has large grippy tires and often running on 3s lipo, worked hard.

I run the old RRP one piece without the holes as well. I use a 4mm grub screw and do not have the issues I do with the 3mm. I also double grub the the 3mm and don't have issues as long as I use blue locktite.

3000 kv 4 pole on 3s powering a heavy hard bodied 2.2 truck.

Thanks for the tip, so then this one should be all I need or am I better to buy the separate output shafts?

Get yourself a spray can of CRC Electronics Cleaner and a bottle of Red Loc-Tite, use the Electronics Cleaner to degrease the grub screws and the screw-holes in the driveshafts, and use the Red Loc-Tite to secure the grub screws. Allow the Red Loc-Tite to harden overnight before use. If you ever need to take it apart again and you can't get the grub screws to come loose, a couple seconds of heat from a cigarette lighter will melt the Loc-Tite enough to allow you to loosen the grub screws.

Great advice and iirc Holmes Hobbies sold an awesome one piece lower tranny output shaft with through holes for attaching driveshafts too.
