| Scx10 converting to scx10 ii
Ok first I'm new to crawlers. I just got an scx10 . It's an older one with some upgrades. I've been all over the net reading and watching videos. Everyone seems to say the scx10 ii is better. Better steering g and a lower center of gravity. If I understand they both have the same frame. What I cant seem to find is if you are able to convert an older version to the new version and what parts you may need. Or maybe I'm way off. Thanks for any help.

Same frame. U will need to swap out for the ar44 axles, shock hoops with a panhard mount, cms (chassis mounted servo), a panhard n draglink set (i suggest SSD bent set. I use them on mine n they clear the center chunk perfectly). Sent from my SM-J327VPP using Tapatalk |

My Bronco is this... Scx10II axles under a gen 1 frame. Hand bro's cms, custom aluminum battery mount, and home made links. Stainless tube over 8/32 all thread, and Jato rod ends. |

I didn't need to move the trans. It does sit a little further back in the gen 1 chassis compared to the gen 2.

The gen 1 and gen 2 are the same chasis correct? If I do the axle swap I can use my existing drive shafts?

We made a simple kit to do this a while ago Pro44 CMS & Titanium Link Set / V2 Conversion for SCX10 Then you just need AR44 compatible axles. |

I just did this conversion with my rig. I used a set of Amazon SCX10.2 links, Vanquish CMS/Panhard mount (VPS07331), and longer driveshafts on the rear. Didn't change the shock hoops. Spent about $50. The SSD kit looks pretty nice though. I might go that route on my next rig.
