That black box is Tupperware and had the receiver in it. Plus a mile of random wire. Not sure why the pic is sideways.

The motor seemed to be much higher quality than the Axial 55t or the Traxxas 12t. It and the esc are Power Hobby brand, he said it’s a good middle of the road setup but lots of guys are running them and have been happy with the bang per bucks.

Finished. Much cleaner and I now know what I’m dealing with. Put everything in a box behind the motor and moved the battery tray back where it belongs.

Apologies for the sideways images. Can’t figure it out and I know it’s annoying. Grabbed a new transmitter too

I like it. Lighter, more features. He said that’s the one everyone in the shop prefers.

Achieved the weekend warrior rock racer look I was going for. Will probably stop messing with the appearance. I’m a tinkerer if you can’t tell...

I made some wheel wells but they need a little tweaking. Took it for a run with the 35t and absolutely love it. Also this esc has f/b/r so double tap for reverse in that setting and I love that too. No more accidental reverse and spastic driving. The control is much better and I can finesse it, but the wheel speed is there too. All things I’m sure you guys know and it’s not exciting but I’m learning anD that’s the fun part. Cheers

I have always liked the tactic radios I have had/have.

Rig looks awesome, for a Jeep...

I kid, it does look great.

It could use some inner fenders up front. I cut up a milk jug and painted it black on my Honcho, just for an Idea.

Ok, I built the front wheel wells and it really helps with the scale factor. I had removed the headlight material because it was so scratched up you couldn’t see the bulbs, I made new headlight buckets. Then I cut out the grille slots with a dreamer because they looked funny with both the stickers and paint. I used drywall repair mesh painted flat black to make the grille inserts and some headlight covers. Looks much more realistic to me.

And some exhaust headers through the hood. Tried to keep them minimalist/scale diameter not like I’m rolling coal like some I’ve seen on the site. She’s ready to hit some streams if u all were wondering why I tinker with the appearance so much it is a throwback to my scale modeling days, I can’t help it. Plus I work from home due to COVID and stare at it when I’m between tasks lol.

I think I’ve added a new rtr to my wish list, the Carisma Range Rover is calling me lol. But I may end up getting a kit because I like to assemble. Only thing I don’t want to mess with is paint, kind of tired of it.

Great looking Jeep! You've done a great job in the transformation!

Love the look of the front end! Looks better with the grill slots cut out!
