Universals in SCX10 axles.

Hi, so I have some SSD D60 axles under my OG SCX10, they are specific to SCX10, not the AR60 sized D60s (confusing names yes)
I'm fed up of the crappy design of CVDs and want to put universals under it.
The only post I can find about this is from 2016 and I figured there might be more options around now even though it's for an older axle.
I'd ideally like to keep the axles since they are built now with beef tubes, VP links and stage 1 kit and HD gears.
Is there a way of adding AR44 universals into the D60 axles?
Or perhaps universals that are designed for another axle, but I am just assuming the AR44s would be the closest thing.

I'm in the UK so to import that kind of stuff would probably work out at the cost of just buying another truck lol.
Thanks for the suggestion though I might look into doing this myself.

Make your own. Cut to size, braze back together.

I don't have anything to braze with.

I have however just seen that RC4WD make an XVD, wondering if maybe they are worth a shot, they are listed for the OG SCX10.

Yeah I spotted that too, if I want to import the Beef Tubes items it's around $140 to my door, plus around another $110 for the knuckles, chubs and lockouts.

Alternatively for $59.99 I could gamble on the RC4WD XVD, but would love to hear from someone who's experienced them if they are worth it or not.

The 70 degrees of steering angle is certainly drawing me in with the XR10 mod stuff though, since this is quite a compy style rig.

Just scored the already XR10 wide modded axles in the sales section, super happy with the price for the specs, my Power Wagon is going to rock lol.

Re: Universals in SCX10 axles.

I found a YouTube vid discussing AR44 universals in SCX10 type axles and the guy has a 3d printable knuckles in thingiverse that accommodate the universals: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4650464

No clue whether they actually work but it also made me think if AR44 knuckles could be made to fit the classic axle and provide the clearance to the universals?
