I don't know about the 10-3 axles, but I'm running Trx-4 portals under my OG SCX10 Dingo. Only issue I've had was trying to get a little more wheel speed. The trans isn't fast enough for all the gear reduction the axles have. Good luck!!! You can do it!!!

You can run the SCX3 portals with the 3 gear transmission no problem. I have the good, old 3 gear in my 10.3 and it is a significant upgrade over the stock 10.3 transmission. The gear ratio is kind of a personal preference thing, I like the 80:1 gearing and just run a faster motor to get the wheel speed I want with all the benefits of lower gearing. The biggest hurdle will be getting the link lengths right for the new axles. ![]() |

I have a 21t trailmaster sport. Going to pic up a 12t and keep the 15t pinion. I live in Florida with a bunch of sugar sand. So a good bit of the time you're fighting it. Wheel speed definitely helps Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
