I'm guessing yeti transmission and new axles similar to SSD D60s.
Maybe CMS.

Hopefully I can tell you all about it next week. I just got my confirmation to the SCX10 Owners Party at Cassie Curries shop. ..... Hoping for cool stuff to happen.

I would guess similarly. The og ax10 axles are getting a little long in the tooth. They still work great, but they are bland and stale by today's demands. If the diff isn't removeable, I'dlike to see something similar to Vanquish style housing where you can swap axle tubes, but I don't think that will happen.

A 2sp yeti trans with some kind of factory CMS would be good too. I don't see why they would change the frame rails when there is soo much support for it.

Looking forward to it, hopefully get one too.

Damn, poor timing for me. I wanted to buy a new RTR in the next month, but I hesitate if it's just going to be eclipsed a couple months later. I wonder though if it will even matter for me, since I plan to upgrade to third party parts eventually anyway.

Assuming it's real, I'm excited since it means they aren't bailing on the 1.9 world.
The Jeep collab stuff is def. getting old, but I assume that Axial/Hobbyco is a big enough target these days to where they can't get away with the wink and nod bodies like the Honcho and the Deadbolt.
So with that in mind, it's hard to blame them for the string of Jeep bodies as I'm sure those licensing deals are a PIA to negotiate. I couldn't imagine even approaching one of the Japanese autos like Toyota looking for body licensing.
I'm with other posters about the Courie collab as well. I could care less. If licensing his name results in a higher retail price for the RTR/kits, I'd rather not see it.

I'm happy if we get some cool stuff under the body like forward motor, t-case, CMS, etc. Hopefully they keep the frame rails the same to allow backwards compatibility.
But if not, no big deal, as long as I can mount one of the several Honcho bodies I've been hoarding to it, I'm happy.

One thing to think about, there's got to be new stuff under the body, if not, why name it SCX II? Why not just release it as another one of their recent money milking collabs? They can't call it a "II" with a straight face unless there's something new in there.

I hope it isn't that Trans. It's too big and heavy imo. People are already swapping them out in a bomber I would do the same in a scx10.

If Axial releases this soon, my current shopping cart may change... Regardless of how many new things are on it. They finally put an XJ body on it! And the BFG KO2s look sick-as well as that roof rack. Waiting to see if they got Currie's front bumper (including lights) right...

It will be interesting to see exactly what they decide to upgrade, and what the keep. I think the 2 biggest things I would like to see, is a better axial housing, and a better transmission housing. I don't know how many stock transmission housings with stripped mounting screws.

Hoping for:

Xr10 c-hubs and knuckles or something similar. Smarter would be to use what they already have.
Front mounted motor.
CMS
Offset diff on the front. Centered on the rear.

Edit:
Ylu should be able to flip the axles so you could have the diff on either side.

Amen.

I would be happy with just the +97 body, but I understand people wanting an updated chassis. Someone on axial's damage control leak thread did say something along the lines though that it would be a shame to have a lot of the suggested parts come in the box, because it would hurt a lot of our cottage industry aftermarket guys. I tend to agree.

The innovations of aftermarket parts manufacturers also pushes the OEM manufacturer. Both in scale or 1:1.

I'd like to see a divorced motor setup or maybe a side ways tranny like the Chinese HGxxx.

I'd like to see shocks that don't leak. I'm still leaning toward an Ascender for my next rig. If the SCX10-2 ends up with better shocks, cms, scale axle housings, and all metal links, I will make use of my Tower super saver membership. Beadlocks would be nice, too.
