Tire foams So I'm slowly putting together my Scx10-2. I went down and bought a set of Axial bead lock wheels. Really glue the tires to rims. No. Anyway back in the day we used sipe/ trim the foam in the tires. Anyone still do that? Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk |
Re: Tire foams It was dumb to do back then and still is. |
Re: Tire foams I used crawler innovation lil nova 4.50 soft on mine. |
Re: Tire foams Crawler Innovations Deuces Wild foams! ;-) And beadlocks are the way to go. |
Re: Tire foams I have a set of Gearhead beadlocks wheels. I will give the stock foams and stock tires a chance before deciding what to go for before spending to much cash on foams and shit! Sent from my iPhone |
Re: Tire foams Coming from someone that uses CI foams in just about everything, I was very pleasantly surprised at how well the truck performs with the stock tires and foams unmolested. The only change I made vs stock was mounting them to a set of beadlocks instead of the glue-ons. I'd suggest starting with that first and then you can decide what, if anything, you want to change. |
Re: Tire foams I ended up mounting the tires and stock foam to a set of Axial bead lock rims. I drilled 2 1/16th of an inch holes for air blend. The stock glue on rims have 1. 1/8 hole. I threw them on my scx10 while I'm still building my scx10-2 wow they worked extremely well. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk |
