Default Overland Project

So I walked into a local hobby shop after telling myself I wouldn't buy a new crawler since 1. these are back ordered 2. I have to many in piles not assembled . Well I saw this:

Sitting there on Sunday. I asked about it and got told it was on hold for someone that day. I told the guy I would slap him if they called saying it was available when I drove 20 miles home. I didn't even get my front door unlocked when they called saying the guy backed out so I went and picked it up. Didn't really need it but I guess I have an addiction issue. So I did the logical thing Monday and assembled it.

Now I can't and never have been a Cherokee fan. So I went to another local shop and picked up a Jconcept early Bronco body. Not cut out it looked like it would fit pretty good. Well despite it being about 1/2" short in Wheel base I decided to go a different route. I had a Nukizer body sitting on my shelf collecting dust.

It just looked perfect. Thanks to seeing pictures of Brandon's with the cage it saved me time having to burn some metal for it since I had everything laying around already. So I got it painted up.

Just for those who said I stole Brandon's pictures on bookface:

This is how it sits while I decide how I'm mounting the lights.

I love the stance but think it could use to be a tad wider as it is a touch flop happy.

Electronics:

Holmes Trailmaster BLE
Holmes Puller Pro 3500kv shorty
Hitec 7950
Hitec 645 servo winch
Heyok 4a Winch controller
Reaction 3s 5000mah lipo
VP Light bars
Axial 6 light basic controller kit

Wheels and Tires:

1.9 VP KMC wheels
1.9 Pitbull Growlers with CI foams

This was a basic build to just drive and have fun with for the most part.

Looks great! Awesome usage of leftovers for the cage and roof rack!

Very nice, here's mine although I flipped the dingo cage so I have no bar across the back.

Decided to take this out and give it a beating instead of finishing all the details on it. I'm fully impressed with what this other than wheels and tires stock rig can do. It's like a little goat. The only change I have made so far is adding the dual rate springs from the older SCX10 kit which really stabilized it a lot over the stock kit springs.
