The link I shared said that their preproduction, I'm sure there will be a post in the forums when they are. They posted about the machined spools they made. No clue on cost

Harley said they're doing their best to keep the cost appealing, especially with the one piece housing design so no chubs or lockouts to buy

You can read through my SCX10II thread and see a bunch of pictures there as well. They're beautiful.

Love the one piece design. These new smaller pumpkins would be perfect for an offset front axle though

Much agreed on the offset pumpkin...wish we could see this. All in all this thing looks real good! Really dig the integrated C's! Way to go Vanquish!

hmm.. worthless. some and most of the oldschool guys will still use plastic and get less hangups.

I'm looking forward to these. The smaller pumpkin and scale details would look great scale-wise under my 1.9 ultra4 rig.

I will agree that plastic slides better but the overall smaller profile is a huge improvement over the original axles in a metal/plastic format.

Don't you think these new Curries have a much smoother profile than the latest SCX10II axle?

vs.

Now, if you're talking about the OG axle, I still might disagree as the sheer size of the pumpkin would naturally hang up more.

Do you think Vanquish would ever consider molding these out of plastic? The folks who are going to buy them in aluminum would buy them that way anyways, plastic would catch all of those who can't swing $250+ (I'm assuming based on the SCX10 Curries).

Doubtful. Vanquish is all about Aluminum.

I'm absolutely chomping at the bit to get a set of these. They look fantastic, I love the one piece design with the integrated inner C, I love the way they hold the bearings in the diff with retainers instead of bearing caps or using the diff cover, I love the "laid back" diff cover being up and out of the way of the majority of rock hits and rash. That alone has proven to be a great design with my other two sets of rock jocks. The only thing that could make these new housings better is if they used 7075. Can't wait to get mine.

Wondering if they plan on adding a Delrin skid like the ones on the SCX10's version.
Can't wait to see how they look in black !

Hey Josh

My concern is with the Lock outs and the C hubs.. What happens if/when they break? Which in my opinion is inevitable. Then we have to spend $ on new axles..

Is this an Initial cost savings on both VP's end and the buyer? Or is there some sort of additional strength built in?( Especially in the C-Hubs)

Has anyone broken a quality (VP, ect) C-hub? I can't seem to recall any and can't find any in a google search.

That was what I was wondering.
If you are breaking VP Chubs or Knucks you likely have other problems.
