By far, the best tire and foam package I have ever used, the grip is absolutely incredible.

Hi Bill,
Do you have a brand & part # for the black glue gun glue ? or a link to the black glue ?
Thats one killer build you have sir i am new to crawlers but not to RC. I have the same body that you have and will pick up my new SCX10 II this Friday from Jake's Performance Hobbies.
I would also like to use your mods after i get some stock run time on it, if thats ok with you ?

Thank you for your time and help,

~Darris

Love the truck man. Gotta get me one. You live in a great crawling place. Always bring my trucks when we head out to the island.

Time for a servo change....the HH HV400 servos cannot be relied upon and therefore will go the spares stash for "on the trail" breakdowns. I took the waterproof Xpert WR-7701-HV out of my B1B Bomber and it now resides in the SCX10 II. So far this servo has performed flawlessly and hopefully it will continue to do so in my SCX10 II. I did order a ProModeler 420oz-in v4 servo with the intentions of using it this rig, but I think I will also leave that one as a spare for now when I receive it. FYI, the B1B Bomber is getting a new HH SHV500 servo.

The SCX10 II looks so smooth and composed. It's doing as well or better than some pretty modded rigs.

The ProModeler 420 v4 servo arrived today. I installed it into the SCX10 II and I'll use the Xpert WR-7701-HV as a spare now. It's a slightly taller servo, so I used some spacers under the servo mounts to raise it up higher (approximately 2mm) so that the Panhard link would not push up against the servo arm when the suspension is compressed on the passenger side. I set the BEC to 7.3V

Everyone raves about how good this servo is...so now it's my turn to put it thru it's paces!!!

Hey Bill, do you get a bind in the rear? When I push down on the rear of the truck I only get 50 percent travel or so. One wheel at a time I get full travel on that side. It looks like 2 of the links in the rear are binding on the Square skid on the bottom near the links mounts. Thanks for any help or advice.

Yes, but it doesn't start binding until probably more around 75%. Although it does bother me, it's fine because my rig will never have both rear shocks fully compressed simultaneously...I don't jump it!!! lol

I noticed mine does the same thing.
Front compresses fine, the rear does not.
Individually its fine though.

I have gifted my SCX10 II with some Vanquish love! New 1.9 Vanquish Method 105 wheels. These are the latest versions that are 1.2" wide and they fit really well with the KLR tires and VooDoo under 10 lb dual stage foams. Compared to the narrower SSD wheels, the tire's sidewall doesn't bulge out as much and the tread surface is flatter.....not to mention, they look fantastic.

Would you say this rig you've built out of the scx2 Is as fun or more fun to drive than your bombers?

Hey bill, what size shim did you use on the pinion output shaft?
I like your new wheels
Are you still using the same Voodoo foams with the new wheels? If you are how is sidehilling with the 1.4" wide wheels?

Thank You,
~D
