I got the newly won P-L 1.9 Flat Iron XL tires mounted up on the wide version of Vanquish Method wheels with Crawler Innovations Lil' Nova Dual Stage 4.50” Standard Inner / Soft Outer foams.

I like the looks of these and will definitely try them out to see how they perform against the all-mighty KLRs!!!

[QUOTE=bilinvic;5564124]I have gifted my SCX10 II with some Vanquish love! New 1.9 Vanquish Method 105 wheels. These are the latest versions that are 1.4" wide and they fit really well with the KLR tires and VooDoo under 10 lb dual stage foams. Compared to the narrower SSD wheels, the tire's sidewall doesn't bulge out as much and the tread surface is flatter.....not to mention, they look fantastic.

I'm curious about these wheels for my SCX10 II. However, I can't find these wheels that wide. Everywhere I look I see the 1.0 inch wide versions (1.2 between the bead lock rings). Can someone tell me where to look for the 1.4 wide wheels?

Thanks

Its probably a typo or he got the numbers mixed up. The 2.2s are 1.2" wide and 1.4" wide with bead lock rings, but 1.9s are 1.2" wide with bead lock rings.

There sure are a whole lotta kool new 10.2 parts hitting the market and I am trying my best to not upgrade every single part I can my hands on. My 10.2 is such an awesome crawler as it stands with the least amount of money thrown at it compared to my other rigs....I don't know how much longer I can hold out!!! lol It has taken some major tumbles and drops and nothing has ever broke (yes, I'm knocking on wood). MUST R E S I S T the dark side...MUST R E S I S T....

Maybe I just build another 10.2 with every Vanquish and SSD part and get it over with because I know it will be inevitable! I sure wish someone would come out with a double shear Panhard front shock mount though.

I have seen 1 or 2 items from GPM That say the "Material" is 6061 Aluminum but now most items just say Aluminum? I have used GPM parts before in the past on RC Pan Cars and Slot Cars (I am showing my age here) and had good Results. Two month ago i bought a GPM aluminum motor mount (Part # SCX2018-BK) for my SCX10 II and the fit and finish look GREAT i tried to bend it but it's strong, but it's still in the bag because the Vanquish motor mount came out before i had a chance to use the GPM mount so it's up for sale Lol.

I hope this helps.

My new Vanquish Method 1.9 wheels arrived today...talk about fast shipping to Canada from RPP (ordered on Sunday evening).

Now I'll have to pack both sets of wheels and tires with me when I take out the 10.2 so I can do some back to back tire performance testing.
