So I picked up a new II so I could accompany my son with the scx10 v1. I put some Pitbull Growlers & SSD D Hole stamped beadlocks on and pushed the front and rear bumpers in a bit for better approach angle, that's it. I'm super impressed! Even the electronics mated to this chassis are great running 3s. Torque is good, steering is usable. I'll definitely be on the lookout for some OD gears for the front axle, knuckles to provide a little more steering, and I'll be putting in a better servo and HH 35t handwound I have lying around. I'm just so impressed right out of the box! It doesn't roll in situations where the scx10 v1 always does and I just made a climb that I couldn't make with the bomber wearing 2.2 Rock Beast II rubber. I finally love a 1.9 rig!! So stable and so fun! My one gripe is that the wheelbase looks about 1/4" too short for the body. It also would have been nice if The door handles had come installed. :-). on a side note: I didn't know to order the tool for the hex bolts on the SSD wheels but I'm glad I didn't! After a quick search it seems people have had nothing but problems with the bolts heads rounding when trying to tighten. 1) After another search I picked through my bowl of m3 screws, found one that fit nice and snug, applied a little red loctite on and around the outside of a nylon lock nut and inserted it into an extra axial "t" wrench. Result..... The perfect m2 hex bold driver! I loosened all the bolts half way, added some loctite, tightened everything down snug. No drama, no rounded bolts. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Last edited by Irishchamp; 08-20-2016 at 05:48 PM. |

Thank you both, I've replaced the socket head screw once, swapped to a button head, its been perfect, not stripping a single head on 3 sets of wheels. Last edited by Irishchamp; 09-20-2016 at 11:15 AM. |

I got all the electronics wired up yesterday, I didn't post a pic but I'm running a Holmes BLE Pro esc. geared 64/9. It's stuttering under load at low speeds. I've tried all different start power settings, timing 0-10, SMART SENSE, sensored only, and 13-24 frequently. There are two things that make a slight improvement, lower voltage battery (3s), and lower frequency (13). I've tried 4s and 6s lipos, stuttering increases slightly with each voltage increase. I've also swapped sensor cables, no change. I unplugged the sensor cable, motor then cogged rather than stuttering. Hoping to hear back from Holmes Hobbies on this ASAP. In the limited driving I did I'm quickly coming to the conclusion that the RC4WD Falken Wildpeak tires are garbage! lol. Well thats a little harsh, they're garbage in loose dirt, that was to be expected though. I just wanted to try a taller 1.9 tire, these are 4.82" tall. I'm going to give them a little more time, I highly doubt they'll be my go to tire but might work for something, haven't figured out what that "something" is yet.... |

Maybe post a vid of the studdering? It could be a grub screw catching, or you might just be noticing the most subtle startup hesitation with our firmware.

| ![]() Very difficult to capture, this is the best I was able to get. the stuttering is not at the slowest throttle input, it's right past minimum throttle input. I have another BLE Pro NIP, I'm going to try that next.... EDIT: it also seems to stutter some when rolling downhill using drag brake. Last edited by Irishchamp; 09-21-2016 at 06:55 PM. |

Ok, so I am an unhappy camper! SHV500 servo had a glitch fit and died, took my receiver with it. I've tried two esc's, two Rx's and no solution found, plus a brand new servo dead along with a receiver. Could it have been the servo? That seems unlikely, I tried with the servo unhooked previously.... Could the motor have a bad sensor board? Could a bad sensor board in the motor create interference causing the servo and Esc to glitch? Could interfere cause a servo to fail? |

Patience...... :-) Patience, all your questions will be answered. I'll have to check and see if I have a part # for the bumper, I will also post some pictures of the truck with the body installed in the near future. |
